The award is not the finish line — enforcement is.

In Austria, post-award strategy turns on three points (1) Challenge: Awards seated in Austria may be challenged directly before the Austrian Supreme Court, acting as first and final instance; (2) Timing: The application must generally be filed within three months of receipt of the award; and (3) Enforcement: A challenge does not, by itself, stay enforcement.

Award creditors must consider assets and enforcement measures early, while award debtors must act quickly to preserve available remedies.
